Tech support, also known as technical support scam or Microsoft scam is a form of internet fraud. Unfortunately, this is a very common problem in the online marketing industry that Noviclick is very strict about and has a zero tolerance policy against. Criminals engage in scare tactics and psychological tricks to steal money for help with non-existent computer problems. People are warned, often in large letters, that viruses or other problems have been detected on their system. To solve this they have to call customer support. Then the scammer tries to have software installed so that they can ‘fix’ the problem. If victims do this, the scammer has access to their system and then supposedly will solve the problems for a high fee.
